Sunset at the Edge

A brilliAnt sunset at the corner of Elphinestone St, and Patricia Park. This is from the northern edge of North Central.

Frosty Twig

One cold morning brought frost everywhere. I found this 'spiky' twig on 5th Ave one afternoon.

Graffiti on Garage

A back alley with a tagged garage found behind Garnet St. looking north from 4th Ave. I did a little editing on this photo. Many places in North Central have been tagged with graffiti everywhere. Garages, fences, houses, and even cars have been the focal point of many graffiti taggers.

Winter Fog

A grey cold afternoon set this photo. The previous night had lots of fog come thru the city, and as a result, everything turned white. This was taken looking west between Albert St. and Athol St at 5th Ave.

Kitchener Elementary School

Early to mid evning in the playground at Kitchener School at Montague St. and 3rd Ave. This was taken looking south from a point that is closer to 2nd Ave.

3rd Ave & Elphinestone St.

This shot is looking east from near the corner of 3rd Ave, and Elphinstone St. This was taken roughly 9pm on a chilly evening.

Creeland...

Regina's Urban Reserve known as Creeland. A gas station, and convience store located at Athol St. and 5th Ave. This is a popular place known for its low prices, and cheaper gas than anywhere else in the city.

A Snowy 5th Ave.

Looking east at Garnet St. and 5th Ave. A nice mid-winter shot taken on a cold afternoon.

Argyle St & 2nd Ave.

Early morning as the sun begins to show its light. Looking south for this photo. The white lights of... a space craft can be seen behind the trees. Ok. maybe not a space craft, but maybe its a statium that lights up the sky with his super bright lights.

Back Alley

This is a back alley looking south from 3rd Ave. between Cameron St. and Garnet St. The sun was trying to come thru on a grey day.

5th Ave

I remember walking thru mounds of snow, in a storm really late one night just to try and get a night-time winter storm photo in January of 2010. It took days to clear the roads, and many people were stranded at home. I was looking west towards Albert St trying to shield myself from the blowing winds and snow. I think I will try for some new snowstorm photos this winter.

Retallack St. & 5th Ave.

I think this one is Retallack St looking south from 5th Ave. Had I snapped this photo a week previous to this shot, it would have been filled with even more bright color of fall. A day after this was taken, Regina got hit by the first snowstorm of the 2010 winter season. It caused the city to almost shut down over the next 2 days as the blizzard passed thru.

5th Ave Bright Light

I remember walking into this extremely bright sunset one mid evening. This was taken in front of an old antique shop. The sun always sets in the west..so guess what direction I was facing for this picture.

4th Ave & Albert St.

Looking west on 4th Ave at the intersection of Albert St. I believe this shot was taken while the camera sat on top of a payphone. To the right on this photo, is a Tim Horton's coffee shop. To the left is a auto parts store.

Alley Car

This car was lit up amongt the darkness of a back alley as I walked past. Its not much of a photo, but I like it. I find it hard lately to take good night shots, as my good camera isnt working at the moment. Not saying this one is bad, but I like my other one the most.

Back Alley's

The backalleys in North Central have always been an interest to me. There are so many things to see. Random toys, old furniture, and graffiti have taken over in these parts. I often walk these areas in search of a great photographic subject.

Evening at the Train Tracks

This nice evening shot was taken looking south along the traintracks from the Toy's R' Us parking lot. The bright light over the van is Mosaic Statium at Taylor Field. Not long after this photo was shot, the police drove up the open area looking some trespasser or something.

Montague St.

Mid-evening shot taken looking southbound on Montague St. This probably would have turned out better had I used a tri-pod.

5th Ave

Looking westbound on 5th ave. This is one of the busiest streets in north central. It runs from Albert St. to Wascana St. This was taken late afternoon.

Going to Giant Tiger

Taken looking westbound long the train tracks at the edge of north central. Most people will reconize this area as to where to cross when going to the Towers Mall, or as most say 'going to Giant Tiger & the Dollor Store'.

Montague St.

One giant looming could looking west one late afternoon while walking northbound on Montague St.

Argyle St.

This one was taken late one night walking southbound on Argle St. (Most of the photos I display here, will not be edited and shown how they were seen.)

The First, Yet Last Post.

That is my collection of random photos taken from North Central Regina SK. Hope  you enjoyed seeing all of them.
